Knowing how to do the 5-minutes makeup routine is every girl’s need. If you are like me who don’t have enough time in the morning to spend on makeup and also not bold enough to say we #wokeuplikethis. ! I can hear your ladies, and because I do, I want to inform you that YOU deserve to look and feel beautiful.
If you can spend 5 minutes in the morning on your beauty (no excuse now!), you can have a simple yet beautiful look. Yup, you hear it right, 5 minutes is all it takes! This look is for women who love looking simple. Even if you prefer spending time on hair, beauty, and trying out different looks, there are some days you just can’t be bothered to apply a full face of makeup, try this 5-minute makeup routine.
The best part is that this is an easy way to achieve a natural, glowing look without having to follow numerous instructions–choose the right products and a little time.
Whether you’re going to work, class, or simply going outside, here is your answer for how to get ready in minutes. Follow these simple makeup steps and sleep an extra half-hour in the morning without compromising with your look. Let’s dive in!
Create Base with Right Foundation & Concealer
Start your makeup with the base, use a fool-proof foundation and concealer. Instead of using a thick, heavy formula, go for lightweight that can blend easily into your skin. It will even out your skin amazingly and quickly.
If you want a little more coverage after applying foundation, concealer can work great for you.
Apply the concealer as per your skin shade, use it with your fingertips and tap it under your eyes, around your nose, on dark spots, or wherever needed. Prefer concealer that comes with moisturizing ingredients, it will prevent your face from looking cakey or cling to dry patches.
When it comes to 5-minute natural makeup, I have founded Maybelline’s Fit Me Foundation Stick as a good option when you’re in a pinch for time. It has sheer but buildable coverage, and you can apply it on areas you feel you need the most coverage and blend out with your fingertips. This is so easy!
Frame Your Face with Filled Brows
This is said that our eyebrows play a major role in framing our face. But what if you don’t have enough time for giving them the right shape with a pencil, the brow gel can resolve your problem.
Eyebrow gel can effectively add density and maintain it with just instant swipes. Gets the right shade of eyebrow gel matching your current brow colour.
No issue, if you have sparse eyebrows, a small quantity of tinted gel brushed upward brings fullness and will keep them in place. I love having huge brows, regular grooming can help you look gorgeous.
Glossier’s Boy Brow is an awesome product that comes with a creamy wax formula that thickens, fills in, and grooms brows into place. The product comes in 4 different colours. You can easily apply it and swipe through your brows.
Add a Swipe of Mascara
Mascara is a major step in my daily routine, whether it is about a natural look or some heavy makeup look, mascara can work great. When you cannot spend a lot of time doing makeup and you are looking for 5-minute makeup hacks, always include mascara in your look that can easily add volume and length fast.
Maybelline’s Total Temptation Mascara is a good option; I have been using it for more than a year. With a single application, it can add volume and length without being clumpy. For a more dramatic effect, add layer and enjoy the all-day look without smudging.
Blush and Bronzer
Adding blush and bronzer is one of the best options when you are looking for how to get ready in five minutes. You can easily make your look more awake by adding a pop of colour. If you have some time, apply blush and bronzer both, but when you’re in a rush, go for one or the other.
As foundation does an important work of evening out the complexion, blushing puts life into your face. Make it your priority to give your face some colour when you are going out of the house. Take a fluffy pointed brush ( or whatever brush you find suitable) and apply blush to the apples of your cheek and also forehead and chin to add even more colour. Make sure not to overdo it!
Take help from bronzer to contour your cheeks, jaw line and around your face. Milk Makeup’s Matte Bronzer is an ideal option, and for a good reason! It is quite easy to apply and can provide you with a warm, sun kissed glow. What’s the best part about this product is that this is not sticky, so you don’t have to follow the extra step to set it with a powder.
For blush, Glossier Cloud Paint is great for me. It is awesome and you can easily add charm in your face with this everyday colour product.
Add the Glow
Highlighter can make a huge difference; a tiny dusting of highlighter can change your look. Whether you want to pop your eyes or add a charm in your face, just highlight. It’s everything and finishes your daily look. There are a variety of highlighters available in the market–with different formulas and skin tones. Get your favourite to apply a little bit to the high points of your face, which includes your cheeks, eyelids, the length of your nose, and a little to the top of your lip.
If you want to add a little bit of extra shimmer, sweep it across your eyelids, too. Recently I have fallen in love with Becca Cosmetics Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed Highlighter. I love its creamy highlighter powder that lights up my best features with a high-shine finish. It is quite easy to apply when you’re in a hurry so definitely invest in a highlighter that you love and that suits your skin type.
Finish Your Look with a Lip Color
Lip colours are the last step of this 5-minute makeup routine. You easily give your overall look a beautiful finish with the right lip colour. There are many ways to add charm to your lips, you can just apply your favorite lip balm, a creamy lipstick just anything. Lip balm is always a good option to finish your look, but you obviously want to end with a bang! Here, a perfect lip shade will top off your look and leave you looking amazing.
Additionally, I have found a lip colour pencil an ideal solution when you are in a hurry because it gives you control that allows you to skip the lip liner. Outline and fill in lips, then pat and blend with your finger for a soft and awesome result. (Make sure your pencil is sharpened to this step quickly).
These days, I’m using Lakme 9 to 5 Primer Matte Lip Color, Ruby Rush. It is a long-lasting formula that gives a comfortable matte finish. The smooth and comfortable application allows me to apply the balm without a mirror even.

Some Easy Makeup Looks
When you search on Google for easy makeup looks, the digital world is filled with incredible beauty tutorials to help you get any type of look you wish for. But most of them involve steps or products that can’t work for busy professionals. Can you spend one hour on a natural makeup look? No right!
But when we go out of our home, we still want makeup to look nice; we just don’t have that much time to spend on it. With my own experience, some of your tutorials and Google search, I have found some quick steps you can follow for different looks.
Don’t worry it will not take more than five minutes and very basic products you need.
- Simple look: For a simple look, apply foundation with fingers, stick to one eye shadow for eyes, and use powder shadow to fill in your brows. Use foundation just on the areas that need coverage, and you are done.
- Bronzy look: Skip the full-coverage foundation instead, use a lightweight, bronzy serum. It will bring a glow in your skin. Apart from bronzy serum, if possible, try eyelash extensions. In this look, you don’t need to use mascara. And, you can feel glam in minutes.
- No-makeup, makeup look: Avoid foundation and use a primer and concealer instead. Now fill your brows with a brow pencil, dust bronzer and apply lip gloss. If you have an extra five minutes, do some additional steps like applying mascara to make an impact.
- Natural beauty look: If you love using cream or liquid products, this look is for you. Apply a multitasking balm with good SPF as a base, now a shimmery cream on your eyelids, and a red-tinted lip balm on lips. The last step, use a liquid liner and you get that natural look. Try to keep the liner as close to your lash line as possible.
- Two-minute beauty look: Apply foundation powder, concealer, liquid liner, mascara, contour powder and lip gloss. In rush, use a powder foundation, then you will not need to set the base with powder.
